Builder’s Perspective:
Customer wanted both a deck and a screen porch. The challenge of this
project was the integration of the rear dormer into the porch’s roof line.
Additionally, the porch was designed with removable screen panels and a
functional corner gas fireplace thus an outdoor den. Notice the usage of
6x6” framing materials at the newell posts and columns. This size lumber
presents a massive visual impression.
